Ukrainian Defence Technologies at the The Hague Forum: Focus on Export and Cooperation with Europe

Promavtomatyka Vinnytsia joined the Ukrainian delegation at the European Defence Innovation Forum (EDIF) in The Hague — an event that brought together more than 200 companies showcasing cutting-edge solutions in defence and security. During the forum, Ukrainian manufacturers presented technologies that have been tested in wartime conditions.

“The European Defence Innovation Forum is a powerful catalyst for dialogue and practical cooperation. Companies from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, and nearly 50 Ukrainian enterprises are represented here. The Dutch Minister of Defence put it very aptly: we must work together to build Europe’s defence faster and stop the war. And today, the export potential of Ukrainian technologies was the topic mentioned most often,” said Mykhailo Ganchuk, the founder of Promavtomatyka Vinnytsia.

Export was one of the key themes of the forum. Bringing Ukrainian developments to international markets opens new opportunities for the defence industry and strengthens Ukraine’s position within the global security architecture.

Dutch Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans drew attention to the threats already felt across European countries, citing examples:

“Drone incursions violating airspace, Russian fighter jets entering NATO territory, unidentified drones near airports — all of this raises fundamental questions that require clear answers.”

At the same time, he stressed that for Ukraine these challenges are daily and far more extensive — hundreds of drones combined with missile strikes attack Ukrainian cities every day. This is why cooperation between Ukrainian and European companies is mutually beneficial: European businesses gain unique practical experience, while Ukrainian manufacturers receive new opportunities for growth and export.

The forum in The Hague served as a platform for meetings, networking, and joint solution-building. Its outcomes demonstrate that the future of European security depends on cooperation — with Ukraine as a key partner and a driver of innovation.
