PROMAVTOMATYKA AMONG PARTICIPANTS OF EDEX 2025 — ONE OF THE LARGEST DEFENSE EXHIBITIONS IN THE MIDDLE EAST

From December 1 to 4, 2025, Cairo became a global hub of innovation as it hosted the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2025) — a key event for the defense industry of the Middle East and Africa. The exhibition featured more than 400 companies from over 80 countries, with total attendance reaching 40,000 visitors. Among the participants presenting their own developments was the Promavtomatyka Group of Companies.

Promavtomatyka’s products — BP Power multi-channel fast charging units and BP Flashlight searchlights — attracted strong interest from both military delegations and representatives of commercial companies involved in rescue operations, tactical services, outdoor activities, and the adventure industry.

Among the key trends of the exhibition was a noticeable increase in the number of manufacturers presenting “flying wing”–type unmanned aerial vehicles — analogues of Shahed-type UAVs. These platforms are currently considered among the most effective for long-range combat operations due to their relatively low cost. This trend indicates a shift in priorities within strategic weapons systems.

EDEX 2025 was traditionally rich in heavy equipment and armaments, including displays by global defense giants such as Lockheed Martin, as well as cutting-edge developments like the NVL unmanned submarine. At the same time, considerable interest was drawn to the stands of companies offering unique niche products.

Mykhailo Ganchuk, Head of the Promavtomatyka Group of Companies, commented:

“Despite the challenging context and the fact that exhibitions of this kind often become platforms for demonstrating power, we see another dimension as well: the world is closely studying Ukrainian experience, Ukrainian solutions, and Ukrainian resilience.

Thanks to the heroic defense carried out by our Armed Forces and the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people, Ukraine today is not only a country resisting aggression, but also one of the drivers of innovation in the field of security and technology.”

DIPLOMATIC SUPPORT AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR COOPERATION

The exhibition was also visited by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Egypt, Mykola Nahornyi. He held meetings with Ukrainian manufacturers and discussed opportunities for cooperation with the Egyptian side, with a particular focus on autonomous power supply solutions and solar energy systems.

The Ambassador emphasized that Ukrainian manufacturers possess a unique competitive advantage — practical experience. According to him, companies representing Ukraine at the exhibition respond rapidly to the needs of the armed forces and showcase products that have been tested in real combat conditions and highly valued by military personnel. It is precisely such solutions, Mykola Nahornyi noted, that shape Ukraine’s competitiveness in the global defense market.
